Our story this week was Lima’s Red Hot Chilli, which is an engaging story about a little girl Lima, who is really hungry and looking for some food at home to eat. She is searching and searching, when she comes across the BEAUTIFUL, RED, HOT CHILLI… and CRUNCH…. Suddenly her mouth is on fire!

We had some parents reading this stories in their mother tongues too, so children had the experience to hear in English, Urdu and Polish too! How very special!

This week we also played a lot with has, looking at another book, Hats of Faith. Children had different hats and scarves to try on through our circle times. Here are some links you can watch together about different types of hats:

Thank you for your continuous donations or fruit, veg and crackers for our snack times! The children love sharing the different types of snack with their peers.

REMINDERS:

The weather is getting colder and wetter, please make sure your child has wellies and waterproofs. They have access to outdoors for most of the day. We are also planning some visits to the forest area in the next half term.

We kindly ask parents not leave food in their children’s bags or let children come in with food in their hands. As included in the school policy, only fruit or crackers are allowed, we have some severe allergies around the setting.

There is a basket for snack donations near the pegs where these things can be put.

The children have had such a fantastic first half term, they have settled in brilliantly, we are very proud of them!

A Tapestry post has been sent to you today with photos of this week’s learning!

We wish you a relaxing half term break, see you on the 30th October.
