What a lovely finale to the end of term for our little Meadows this week! There has been a hive of activity as our Meadows became Santa’s Elves, working extremely hard in preparation for their Christmas celebrations. There has been packing, wrapping, printing, stamping and lots of Jingle Bell Jingling!

There has been lots of dancing and prancing around the Christmas tree whilst listening to lots of merry tunes and carols! Our fantastic Meadows made Christmas hats and recorded a small performance for their families. We hope you have enjoyed watching our Christmas show on Tapestry!

Meadows loved the snow! We wrapped up warm to play in the snow and make our Nursery snowmen!

We baked some gingerbread biscuits and just about managed to decorate them before they were all eaten up!

We talked about different Christmas traditions around the world and we shared the Christmas wafer (Polish tradition) and wished each other Happy Christmas!

Topic Next Term

‘Whatever the weather’

Each week we will focus on different types of weather and share a wide range of picture books and non-fiction texts. We are super excited to set up our science laboratory where Meadows can come and explore to their hearts content, learn how to use microscopes, magnifying glasses, pipets and test tubes. We will investigate ice, ask questions such as: What is snow? Are there any matching snow crystals? Why do we see rainbows after the rain?

Donations

We would be very grateful for empty Pringle tube boxes with lids which we need for the craft activity. We are still short of spare clothes such as tracksuit bottoms, socks etc. As the snack at school is quite limited, we would also appreciate some extra help from you. It would be great if on Mondays you could bring some fruit, crackers or breadsticks for our snack. Thank you!

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our families for all the words of encouragement and positivity during the autumn term and we very much look forward to welcoming you all back in the new year.

Wishing you all a peaceful and safe holiday.
