Another week in Meadows bustling with activity! We have continued to explore various modes of transport. We discussed how children travel to school and we were very impressed with how active most of the children are getting to school on the bike, riding a scooter or walking!
Meadows particularly enjoyed playing a transport miming game pretending to be driving a car, riding a bike, rowing a boat or flying a plane! They were very good at practicing some directional language and turning their vehicles right, left, going straight or round.
The children created some amazing vehicles using a variety of materials and made an impressive double-decker bus out of cardboard.
As some of the children who celebrated Eid last weekend came back to school with some beautiful henna designs on the hands, the rest of the Meadows were inspired to paint some wonderful creations on their hands too!
Children enjoyed the stories such as You can’t take an elephant on the bus or Go! Go! Go! Stop! and talked about how we can keep safe on the road.
