What a fantastic time we are having in our new Nursery Class ‘Meadows’. It has been wonderful to welcome you all and exciting to hear all the positive feedback each day. Meadows are settling into nursery life well and it is wonderful to see them wave ‘goodbye’ at the start of each session. We have enjoyed exploring both inside and outdoor spaces; becoming familiar with routines and going for daily walks around our school to discover new areas. Some children have also found their siblings classrooms and are happy to give them a big wave!
Thank you all for taking time to write a ‘greeting’ in your home language, these have now been added to our Community Board, which is a colourful celebration of diversity.
This week, our focus has been all about the ‘Autumn’ season. Thank you for all the beautiful leaves and other natural materials that you collected together at the weekend. It has been amazing to hear such rich language from our children as they have painted, printed, scrunched, colour matched and danced with! These are now on our Autumn exploration table for children to return to and build on their curiosity. Click on link below for photos.

Next Week:
Focus Book: ‘Rainbow Fish’ and other animal stories
Children have shown an interest in fish and other creatures this week, so we will focus on this beautiful story all about ‘sharing and kindness’.
Please bring in any photos or information about your family pet or maybe a pet your child would love to have, such as a tiger or an elephant!
Other Information:
There will be a board at the entrance of Nursery for grown ups to write what other things your children are interested in e.g. swimming, ballet, origami, baking, games, characters, stories etc. This will help us to understand what other extra curricular activities children are interested in whilst out of school.
As the weather has been sunny this week, please bring in a sunhat and a bottle of sunscreen. These should both be clearly labelled and are to REMAIN in Nursery. Also, please apply sun cream BEFORE coming to Nursery as adults will reapply after lunch if needed.

High Importance!                                                                                                                                                                                                                Also, very importantly, a huge ‘well-done’ to all our grown-ups for being extra brave too, we understand that it can be worrying watching your little ones begin their new journey into nursery life. Nursery Team are always here to listen and help. We are excited to work together to support, nurture and provide the happiest experience possible!

Have a wonderful and safe weekend everyone!
