Yet another fabulous week for Meadows!

We have thoroughly enjoyed continuing to build on our map making skills for Little Red’s journey and also learnt how to program Beebots! We can now apply a variety of directional language such as ‘forward, backward, turn left/right, stop, straight, stop and cancel!

We have also enjoyed messy play with slippery soap suds and sea creatures!

Outdoors we have applying our counting skills when playing, ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf?’ and building up our stamina by exercising to ‘Simon Says jump X times etc!  Maybe you can play these at home?

Next Week:

Focus text: The Enormous Turnip.

PSED: Working collaboratively and begin to think how others may be feeling.

Maths: Size- smallest to biggest – Key vocab, smallest,  small, big, bigger, biggest, enormous!

CL: Sequencing the story and learning new vocabulary- seeds, roots, shoots, dig,  turnip, heave, pulled, groaned, grain, cow, dog, goat, oats,

UW: Discovering other types of root vegetables from around the world e.g. cassava, yam,

PD: Yoga-Parsnip the cat
