What a wonderful week we’ve had in Meadows! The children were excited to visit their new reception classes and meet their teachers.
We continued the Three Billy Goats Gruff theme and discussed some alternative versions such as, ‘The Three Bully Goats’ and ‘Listen, My Bridge is So Cool!: The Story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff as Told by the Troll’. The children suggested various ideas about how the characters were feeling at different points in those stories.
The classroom and outside space were transformed as Meadows created some amazing bridges and compared their various sizes.
We also celebrated American Independence Day by doing fireworks in a jar experiments, as well as painting fireworks.
