We are super proud of our Meadows this week, they have been absolute superstars with all their acting, filming and singing!

Meadows have worked incredibly hard this week and have had a thoroughly enjoyable time recording all of the nativity songs for the Early Years Christmas production. We are sure that you must have heard the super catchy tune to the donkey plodding song by now!

Next Week:

Focus Text/Musical: The Story Orchestra ‘Carnival of the animals.’ By Saint Saens

Adult Focus: Listen with increased attention to sounds and respond by expressing your thoughts and feelings- Q: If you found a magical door behind a bookshelf to a magical world, where all the animals talk, dance and sing, what would you do, ask, say, feel? Let’s scribe the words you use to describe each piece of music.

Mark Making/Fine Motor:  I can write (mark-make) a name/message in a Christmas card or draw a picture and tell a grown up what it says.

Mathematics: I am beginning to understand that the last number reached when counting, tells me how many there are in total /altogether

PSED and EAD:I can carry out instructions that has two parts when making my musical instrument that I will use it to play whilst dancing in our class carnival!

Physical Development: Gross Motor- I can use large muscular movements to wave flags / streamers and move my body in different ways to match the various types of music.

Ways to support at home:

Continue with self help skills- putting  coats and shoes on and off independently.

Other Information:

Gentle reminder- Please explain to your child that sadly they cannot bring games and toys into Nursery to share, we need to keep safe in these current times and children get upset if their toys are lost or broken. Thank you for taking the time to explain this.

Have a wonderful weekend getting into the festive spirit!
