What a truly busy week it has been for Meadow. Children have been super excited to learn about light and color exploration, creating the most amazing art.
We have melted like the snow and twirled like a tornado with our “roll the dice game” helping to develop gross motor skills.
Children have been exploring their feelings through colors and weather changes; we found alternative ways to express our feelings with the help of Luna our beloved ventriloquist puppet.
Next focus week: What is a Minibeast?
Ways to support at home. Celebrate home learning by-
Talk about other insects, what do you already know and what would you like to find out about? Research.
Bring in what you found out to share and celebrate with the whole class. You could make a little book of facts. Practice your presentation at home ready to share in class or with an adult.
Look closely, paint/draw/make an insect. Describe it. Does it have any patterns? How many legs? Colors? What do they eat/drink?
Go on a bug hunt and see what you can find. Take a photo to share.

It is so wonderful to see our little meadows looking super smart in our school uniform. We ask that children wear Velcro school shoes and not boots in class. Black or dark grey trousers/skirts and no hoop/large earrings for safety reasons, small studs only. No jeans please.
Please check your child’s spare clothes bag and top up if necessary, making sure everything is clearly named.
Have a restful weekend and a lovely half term.
