This week, the children have enjoyed exploring Goldilocks and the Three Bears through stories, songs, puppets and role play. They particularly loved making porridge, linking our story theme with discussions about healthy eating. We will continue to make porridge next week for those children who haven’t had a turn yet.

We have also been learning about staying safe at home, talking about trusted adults and how to recognise safe and unsafe situations. We sorted out several home items in 3 categories using colour coded visuals and we had much fun while learning about how to keep safe!

The children took part in a variety of phonics and maths activities, including rhyming games like silly soup, counting with bean bags and singing number songs such as Five Little Speckled Frogs and Ten Green Bottles.

Music and movement sessions were full of fun, with favourite songs including Goldilocks and Doggie Doggie! The children also enjoyed guessing the number of potatoes during our Harvest session! We wonder how we can cook them in nursery to enjoy them all together! If you have any potato recipies please get in touch with the staff member to share!

From next week drop off and collection will be delivered as normal at the Nursery gate!

It has been a lovely week filled with learning, creativity and lots of smiles, and we look forward to another exciting week ahead!
