This week, we continued learning the traditional tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. It follows Jacks adventure climbing up a beanstalk into another world above the clouds where he comes across a Giant!

Our beans are growing and we hope yours are too! Please send in any pictures you have of your home-grown bean plants.

We are also starting to look towards next year and our transitions into other classes or schools and welcoming other friends into our learning spaces. We explored how we might feel with new friends or when our lives change. We also thought about how we can help ourselves or our friends to move through tricky feelings safely.

On Tuesday, as part of our Euros Football Celebration, we learnt about Hungarian culture. We looked at the beautifully embroidered clothes and the interesting outfits Hungarian folk dancer’s wear. Children had the opportunity to try on some outfits and learn a few steps of folk dancing. You can see our pictures and videos on Tapestry. Here is a short clip about children dancing in Hungary:

Mrs Campbell also taught the group a Hungarian rhyme about pretzels, and we had some yummy treats too.

Please remember to bring sunhats and suncream for the hot days!

Have a great weekend!
