Our final week, filled with lots of joyous learning through plenty of messy play!
Meadows were very generous with sharing their soggy sand cakes and blueberry mud shakes outdoors! This tied in nicely with Tiago’s ‘Eat them to Defeat them!’ assembly on eating healthy fruit and vegetables. Maybe you could take up the challenge of trying to taste a new one each day during the holidays, take a photo and share it on Tapestry!
We have also been engineers, builders and architects whilst creating dens and getting a ‘deeper hands on understanding’ of the 3D shapes cubes and cuboids!
We have thoroughly enjoyed tuning our ears into playing many ‘Guess the sound’ games; we are getting brilliant at identifying both animal and environmental sounds. Some of us have never heard the sound made by camels, rabbits or even a walrus before! Perhaps you could play this game at home!

Next Term
Our new summer Term Topic will be ‘Traditional Tales’. We will be sharing these stories: The Three little pigs, Goldilocks, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Hen and The Princess and the Frog.
As it will be a short first week, we will focus on settling back into routines and expectations. We are also looking forward to welcoming our new families too! I am sure you will all make them feel very welcome to the UCPS family. How exciting to see Meadows grow!
