Ms Rodoula Georgala – I am one of the Nursery Teachers and am very proud to be a member of the UCPS Team. I studied and practised Structural Engineering for more than 10 years in both Greece and England, before becoming an Early Years Teacher. I have always found the children’s world to be one of infinite wisdom, joy and light.
I am a strong advocate for STEM learning, and I work with simple, everyday resources to develop and maintain the children’s natural curiosity and to foster scientific thinking. I also love playing maths games and encourage the little children to look at the world around them through a ‘maths lens’ to build confidence in their own ability to use maths later.
Outside of school, I spend time with my family cooking, mostly Mediterranean meals, playing the flute with my daughter and enjoying the company of our blue budgie, Roomy! I am also a cinephile, and I particularly enjoy independent cinema.
