Mr Santiago Porro Santos – I am proud to be a Year 5 teacher at the University of Cambridge Primary School and excited to be part of Fuji Class this year. Since joining UCPS, I have taught in both Year 1 and Year 4, and it has been a real joy to reconnect with some of my former pupils in Year 5. I am incredibly impressed and proud of the progress and achievements they have made over the years, and I feel privileged to have grown alongside them in my own teaching journey.
Before joining UCPS, I worked in Special Education settings, as a tutor, and as a supply staff member through a teaching agency, gaining valuable experience across a range of educational environments. I completed my teaching degree at the University of Extremadura in Spain and moved to England soon after completing my degree, eager to develop my teaching career in a different educational environment.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking traditional Spanish dishes, looking after Indoor plants, and both watching and playing basketball, a sport I’ve loved since I was a child.
