Mr Rob Drane – I am proud to be the Headteacher of the University of Cambridge Primary School. Before taking on this role, I have been the Associate Headteacher and was class teacher of Polaris for many years, where I was fortunate to see children achieve highly and move on confidently to secondary school. It is a real privilege now to welcome the brothers and sisters of many former children into our school.
Before teaching in Polaris, I taught the founding Year 3 class at UCPS, as well as working across Key Stage 2 in schools in both Harlow and Cambridge. I studied English Literature at the University of Sheffield before completing my PGCE at the University of Cambridge.
Outside of school, I am a huge sports fan and a lifelong supporter of Chelsea FC. I also enjoy cooking, reading, philosophy, and finding opportunities to learn something new.
