Ash Smith – My first degree was in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh and it was here that I first found my passion for education and teaching. I found the connection between psychology and education fascinating and maintain this interest in my leadership and teaching. Once graduated, I completed my PGCE at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge and have, since teaching, regularly lectured and taught on the course and was even on the partnership standing committee who authorised the proposals for UCPS. With my love for learning, I then went on to complete my Masters of Education at the Faculty of Education before moving to Manchester for a senior role. Whilst in Manchester, I then became aware of the leadership opportunity here at University of Cambridge Primary School and I am now proud to say that it was the best move I ever made.
